Anders Zorn Exhibition in Paris

Anders Zorn (1860-1920) was one of the most internationally famous artists of his generation, and as sought after a portrait painter as John Singer Sargent. An illegitimate child from central Sweden (Mora), Zorn overcame his difficult childhood to become the sailing buddy of Sweden's King Oscar II, made many trips to the U.S., and painted the portraits of three American presidents (Grover Cleveland, William Taft, and Theodore Roosevelt). He's currently the star of a huge exhibition at the Petit Palais in Paris - a show not to be missed - it closes 17 December.
